21 January to 18 February

Despite Aquarius being an inconspicuous constellation, it is one of the well-known and important constellations in ancient times. It must have been a significant event when the sun crosses the star sign, as it coincided with the onset of the rainy season. Aquarius is sometimes identified with Ganymede, a beautiful youth in Greek mythology with whom Zeus fell in love and, in the disguise of an eagle (represented by the constellation Aquila) carried off to Olympus to be cup-bearer to the gods.
