In Greek mythology, Libra is the scales held by the goddess of justice, Astraea (identified as Virgo). It is the only zodiac sign not being a living creature. The constellation is fairly faint, but can be observed once Scorpio is identified.

Libra has only two bright stars with an apparent magnitude (visibility factor) of less than 3.0. The easiest way to find the constellation is to identify Scorpio and observe Libra to the right (Northern Hemisphere).
