21 April to 21 May

In Greek mythology, Taurus was identified with Zeus, who assumed the form of a magnificent white bull to abduct Europa, a legendary Phoenician princess. Taurus is Latin for “bull.”
The brightest star in the constellation is Aldebaran, a giant star with an orange to red color. The name is Arabic for “the follower,” and likely comes from the fact that it follows the Pleiades, a star cluster in the constellation.
